I googled the heck out of “stock market 101”, I listened to financial podcasts every day, and I joined tons of Facebook stock market communities. I had no idea what daytrading or swing trading was. But…I knew I could do it from home and in a short time.

I made a lot of mistakes though, I pushed the wrong buttons, I got distracted by news events, I got influenced by other traders who were seemingly getting rich overnight. After 2 years of trial and error and zero-sum months, I figured out what worked for me. I got laser-focused and stopped swinging for home run trades. If I aimed small, I lost small, and surviving the losers kept my account growing and my winners consistent. I shared what I was doing on Youtube and found a whole community of like-minded traders and celebrated success.
